My stylists and I have been researching retro pin-up style, and now that we have a studio location with enough open space to try out some of the more classic “legs-up” kind of posing, we’re ready to shoot! You might now realize this, but a pin-up session is quite different from a boudoir shoot — the type of clothing, accessories, makeup and hair styling is a different retro style. From a photography perspective the lighting, background, and actual posing of our models is different.

I subscribe to a lot of magazines, and Vanity Fair is by far my favorite. Every month they feature an upcoming actress in her own 50s pinup pose, which they thankfully make public in their Vanities section. Thanks VF!
We’re excited to have some specifically pinup-inspired shoots on the books for 2009.
