“I’m curious and good at following up on it. Voracious, Adventurous and well-read. And messy.”
With an adventurous spirit, Val loves exploring her wide variety of interests and experiencing new things. Endlessly curious, she has allowed her life to blossom throughout many career and educational paths and is currently in graduate school. She loves to travel and get outdoors and enjoys hiking and running outside. When she’s not with her family or reading for grad school, Val enjoys reading, writing, crafting, drawing, and knitting.
Val’s educational and trajectory is unending and varied. She has worked as a bookstore clerk, a house cleaner, a 21 Dealer, flight attendant, computer programmer, EMT, phlebotomist, CNA, PA, volunteer cook at an artist’s retreat, magazine editor. A future goal is to become a Master Therapist – and has her work cut out for her.
Val’s advice to her younger self: “Do the things that you’re really interested in, whether or not you think you can get a job with that. Because when you’re really really interested in something, it creates its own energy. Don’t hold back.”
