Robin Carnese, 50

“It is what it is! The Universe has a plan! In other words, stop wasting your time over worry and fret. Do what you can do, and leave the rest to whatever will be.”

Robin is an incredibly resilient woman of 50 who has overcome so many obstacles and heartbreak in her lifetime, and has finally found happiness. Years of abusive familial relationships, and a longtime failing 28 year marriage combined with working as an RN, and raising her two wonderful boys, she never put herself first; she didn’t know how. She gave to others until she was fully spent. It took getting stage three sarcoma for her to wake up. She made the decision that she wanted a second chance at life and accepted this new challenge head-on and won! Everything fell into place after that. She experienced what it meant to feel at peace with herself, and she finally understood that saying no to others, establishing personal boundaries, and putting her own needs and wants first was healthful. Most importantly, once she was free of her previous mindset, the love of her life (who she’d known since she was 6!) professed his love for her and now they are happily married. Her new life is full and beautiful.

Resilient, genuine, and thoughtful, Robin has faced many challenging experiences throughout her life that have shaped her into the person she is today. After 25+ years of assisting her patients and a masters degree in nursing, Robin is planning to eventually pivot so she can work from her laptop and travel the world with her husband.

Robin’s perspective on life is greatly shaped from her most challenging moments: “I am grateful for all of my life experiences- challenging, terrifying and wonderful. They have all led me to this wonderful existence I now call my life.” She loves living for the moment while always planning the next adventure.
