“I’ve always found that the most attractive people are wicked smart, kind and interesting.”
“We are not invisible. Women over 50 have a wealth of knowledge and experience to offer.” Jeanne herself is a wealth of knowledge as a self-described professional student, with three degrees. She has gone full-circle utilizing her Bachelors in Art Education to teach K-12 Art, a Masters in Fine Arts with the focus in painting, along with a Masters in Computer Science. She was a Computer Director before landing back to teaching art. A swimmer, paddle boarder, ceramic artist and painter, Jeanne is able to balance the practical and creative in her life.
While she has experienced swerves in the path of life, Jeanne is proudest about raising her daughter to be a sweet human. The sharp curves of life have developed her into being tough, but also kind – someone to be counted on to have her actions in alignment with her words.
“Trust your intuition – it is mostly right! And take more pictures!” Photos are what she considers her treasured possessions. While Jeanne is enjoying her free time in retirement (“I hike, paddleboard, go to Pilates, eat out and plot fun times with friends”), she does not have a life bucket list, as she prefers to see what life provides and act on it at that time. As time marches on, she prefers to linger and hang out more, especially with friends, than she tended to in the past. Jeanne is a force – someone who is trying to make the world a better place.
“Having a purpose is important to me. I do what I can to leave the world a little better than it was.”
