“Attractiveness is not so much about the outside it is more the character of an individual, the kindness that is displayed. The laughter. There are some outwardly beautiful people who are mean, nasty and unkind.”
Integrity. Being a woman of her word and doing what she says she will do is the trait Renee takes pride in the most, and defines who she is as a woman. As a leader with the skill (and hard work) of seeing both sides of a coin, she is balanced, while seeking change for the better, by acting with intention. In serving others with the entirety of her heart and soul, Renee has been involved in the non-profit sector for over 25 years, paired with many volunteering experiences. For five years, she was at a small non-profit helping houseless families. Nowadays, Renee is pouring her heart of service into the Sherwood Chamber of Commerce, as service is one of her core values. She cares deeply – she is living life toward being part of the solution.
‘Enjoy yourself more, goals are great but they are not everything. Life is very short and should be filled with joy’ A message Renee would pass along to her 20 something self. Family is precious, and her latest joy is becoming a LaLa (grandma). Being a grandma herself now, Renee holds onto a lot of memories and love of her own grandmother, her champion in life. Now more so than ever, Renee values time, as it has sped up for her. She thanks God for each day she has to spend with her family, and also for the opportunity to use her gifts as a leader in her community, to serve and help others succeed.
“I value time more than I ever have before.”
“Life is what you make of it. Age really is relative!”
