Darcy, USA Today Bestselling Author of Contemporary and Historical Romance, is mother to two children, a wife of 30+ years with an array of rescue cats. She is a self-described expert at folding laundry, doing dishes, organizing and helping people out. Darcy is continually working to give herself a break. Along with the delights of marriage and motherhood for Darcy, she is also a published author of 10 years, a romance novelist. Her devotion to writing began at 11 years old, creating a story ‘The Magic Swan,’ about a magical swan and the female swan who loved him. While Darcy’s focus in college was history, with a plan of continuing her education and perhaps teaching college, life took her down an alternate path. Instead, Darcy gets to live her dream job of creating characters and stories, and has built a successful publishing business. She is happy about where life has taken her and excited for the adventures ahead. Some of her favorite things are playing games with her family, listening to and seeing the Dave Matthews Band, and that whole rescuing cats thing. Thoughtful and brilliant, Darcy describes herself as nurturing. In retrospect, she would encourage her younger self to ‘chill, write, and try to please yourself as much as you try to please others.’
